Griha Pravesh and Vastu Puja

Griha Pravesh (Home Entry) Ceremony:

Griha Pravesh is a traditional Hindu ceremony performed before entering a new home. It's considered auspicious and is performed to seek blessings for a prosperous and harmonious life in the new residence. The ceremony involves various rituals and prayers conducted by a priest or head of the household.

Key Elements of Griha Pravesh:
Purification and Sanctification:The new home is cleaned and purified, and holy water is sprinkled in different rooms to sanctify the space.
Lighting the Sacred Fire (Agni):A sacred fire is lit in the hearth (kitchen), symbolizing purity and new beginnings. It's considered a source of energy and positivity.
Mantras and Chants:Vedic mantras and prayers are recited to invoke blessings from deities and seek harmony, prosperity, and protection for the family.
Offerings and Prayers:Offerings like grains, fruits, and ghee are made to the sacred fire while chanting specific mantras to seek blessings.
Vastu Puja:A Vastu Puja (ritual) is conducted during Griha Pravesh to appease Vastu Devata (the deity of directions) and ensure Vastu Shastra compliance for a harmonious living environment.
Blessings and Aarti:The priest or head of the household offers prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the family. Aarti (a ritual of waving a lit lamp) is performed to conclude the ceremony.
